Help! My Puppy’s Refusing To Eat

She’s the most adorable small living thing on God’s green earth. She’s such a bundle of joy, and the little things she makes appear to bring the best sort of happiness to everybody who can see her antics. Her eyes are so charmingly beautiful when she came to you begging for attention, love and a few dog treats.

Indeed, your dog’s the best entity that has occurred in your life.

Then she abruptly declines to eat.

And you panic. You begin to think the worst. You look for each volume and journal you find, and you quickly register online wishing to look for a solution for you adored canine companion’s condition. She’s very little to have to experience such, you’d tell to yourself. She should be excluded from such struggles.

The best advice you can have at this moment is: calm down.

If your puppy isn’t experiencing any other upsetting symptoms and if she is between 5 months to a year old and his craving level rapidly plunges, odds are is that she’s teething.

Teething pertains to that stage of the pup’s growth when she’s replacing previous teeth with new ones. Recent teeth successively emerge as they break through the puppy’s gums. This entails some degree of distress, and even grief, on the end of the unfortunate pet. As such, she may refuse food due to the unusual feelings in her mouth.

Teething is made even more pertinent if the pet stays lively and develops the propensity to chew on about anything he is able to get his paws on.

The teething process will be ended in under two months and your puppy’s desire for food will go back to normal.

Teething, however, despite the fact that the most possible reason for a pet’s abrupt appetite loss, isn’t the lone possible cause for such a situation. Some more serious causes may be in act, like bacterial contagion, digestive troubles, respiratory problems, severe worm infection, kidney failure, diarrhea and constipation. Be on the lookout for other indications that comes with the loss of appetite. The occurrence of two or more of the following indications must tell you that something more hazardous may have happened to your canine:

- lethargy, or mahor decrease in the level of physical activity;
- regular vomiting;
- abnormal excrement;
- non-stop want to rub or grate her anus;
- failure to discharge excrement for a lenthy span of time.
